Lapland Longspur (Calcarius lapponicus , Rousseau Sod Farm, Maricopa County

This Lapland Longspur Calcarius lapponicus was found at the Rousseau Sod Farm on 10-14-06 . Casual during fall and winter in the state, Laplands are now almost annual at this location in eastern Maricopa County , where they were first discovered by Andy Spencer during the winter of 2000-2001.
