Sabine's Gull (Xema sabini), reservoir behind Hidden Cove Golf Course near Holbrook, Navajo County

These three immature Sabine's Gulls, part of a major incursion of this species this fall in Arizona, were discovered and photographed by Eric Hough on 12 September 2008 in the reservoir behind the Hidden Cove Golf Course in Holbrook.  Other observers were Elaine and Bob Hough.

Note the diagnostic wing pattern on all these birds.
