Worm-eating Warbler (Helmitheros vermivorum), Sunflower, Maricopa County

This Worm-eating Warbler was found and photographed by Marceline VandeWater on 07 January 2020 and photographed by Deanna Bibbee on 08 January 2020.

A casual transient and winter visitor with a few summer records as well.

It is one of the most distinctive warblers and, seen well, it is unmistakable. Note the large bill, striped head, and buffy overall color.
