Dickcissel (Spiza americana), San Pedro House (San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area), Cochise County

This Dickcissel was found and photographed by Janet Haines Ricco on 10 December 2019

Regular fall migrant and no longer routinely posted to AZFO photo page. However this species is casual in winter with less than 10 records for the state from the winter months.

Dark malar stripe, yellow supercillium and center of breast.  Rusty shoulder.
