Yellow-green Vireo (Vireo flavoviridis), Santa Cruz River at S. Gertrudis Lane , Santa Cruz County

This Yellow-green Vireo was found and photographed by Bill Lisowsky on 29 July 2018 and photographed by Chris McCreedy on 30 July 2018

A casual visitor to Arizona with 14 accepted records with a couple more pending. This report falls in with previous records which have occurred between late May and mid August.

Resembling a Red-eyed Vireo but with a pale bill, muted face pattern without dark upper boundary to supercilium, and overall more yellowish tones to the vent extending up the sides of the breast to the auriculars. Bird was also heard singing.
