Greater Scaup (Aythya marila), Table Mountain Tank, Yavapai County

This Greater Scaup was found and photographed by Felipe Guerrero on 24 December 2016

While a regular and commonly observed winter resident on parts of the Colorado River in Arizona, including within Coconino County, this species is rare statewide away from the Colorado River.

Rounded crown and larger nail than a Lesser Scaup.
