Tufted Flycatcher (Mitrephanes phaeocercus), Ramsey Canyon (Bledsoe Loop), Cochise County

This Tufted Flycatcher was found on 28 March 2016 by Diane Touret and was photographed that day by Lynn Daugherty

There are three accepted records of Tufted Flycatcher in Arizona, with two additional pending reports from 2015. One of these 2015 reports was of a breeding pair in Ramsey Canyon, and this bird may be one of that pair returning, though it is at a lower elevation within the canyon.

Unmistakable small flycatcher with cinnamon underparts and a conspicuous crest.
