Yellow-throated Warbler (Setophaga dominica), Holy Trinity Monastery, St. David, Cochise County

This Yellow-throated Warbler was found and photographed by Brian Johnson on 05 November 2015

A casual transient with more than 25 accepted records and several pending. There has been an increase in records in the last few years.

Note the yellow throat, black auriculars with white spot behind them, and the white eyeline. This bird is of the western D. d. albilora race. This race has a white or pale yellow supraloral stripe (the part of the white eyebrow near the bill) whereas the other races of D. dominica have bright yellow supraloral stripes.
