Red-eyed Vireo (Vireo olivaceus), Box Bar Recreation Site, Maricopa County

This Red-eyed Vireo was found and photographed by Tommy DeBardeleben on 06 October 2015

Box Bar is located along the lower Verde River. Casual but nearly annual in Arizona.

Gray crown with dark border against white supercilium, dark eyeline, olive back and tail, faint yellow wash on undertail coverts and sides, very long bill for a vireo. Note especially the face pattern in these photos.
