Thick-billed Kingbird (Tyrannus crassirostris), Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge, La Paz and Mohave Counties

This Thick-billed Kingbird (Tyrannus crassirostris) was found and photographed by Eric Hough on 16 July 2015

Casual in western Arizona, with most records from fall or winter and no prior summer reports.

Large flycatcher with large thick black bill, dark gray-brown crown contrasting with white throat, white chest blending to pale yellow belly and undertail coverts, unmarked brown back, wings, and tail.
