Magnolia Warbler (Setophaga magnolia), Reid Park, Tucson, Pima County

This Magnolia Warbler was discovered and photographed by Matt Fraker on 10 October 2013.

Magnolia Warbler is a casual transient in Arizona, with about 30 records in all.

The tail pattern of Magnolia Warbler is diagnostic at all times.  This is a first winter bird, for which other field marks are two narrow white wing-bars, a plain greenish back, and a pale gray neckband in the middle of a bright yellow chin and breast continuing down to the lower belly.
