Yellow Grosbeak (Pheucticus chrysopeplus), Green Valley Country Club Vistas, Pima County

This Yellow Grosbeak was discovered and photographed by Jim and Judy Easter on 10 May 2013 at their backyard seed feeders.

Yellow Grosbeak is a casual summer visitor to SE Arizona with around 20 records, most of those in June. It is a frequent "one day wonder" and rarely remains in the same area for long. Thus far this individual has been seen two days running.

Bright yellow body, black and white wings and huge bill make male Yellow Grosbeaks nearly unmistakable.
