Baltimore Oriole (Icterus galbula), Madera Canyon at Proctor Road, Pima County

This Baltimore Oriole was discovered and photographed by Bill Griffiths on 28 April 2013.

Rare migrant.  Possibly becoming more regular.  About 20 accepted records with several reports more pending.

Adult males are easily separated from Bullock's Oriole by solid black head.  Hybrids usually have an orange supercillium and more white in the wing coverts.
