Least Tern (Sternula antillarum), Glendale Recharge Ponds, Maricopa County

This Least Tern was discovered and photographed by Magill Weber on 27 April 2013.

Least Tern is rare, but appears to be increasing in Arizona. There is one breeding record for the state at this location. 

Small tern, pointed yellow bill, short, yellow legs, black cap, black eyeline, white forehead.
