Prothonotary Warbler (Protonotaria citrea), Clark Crossing, Tumacacori, Santa Cruz County

This Prothonotary Warbler was discovered by John Saba, Gary Graves, and Ralph Poulsen on 07 October 2012 and photographed by Gary Graves on 07 October 2012 and by Alan Schmierer on 13 October 2012.

Prothonotary Warbler is a rare but annual transient in the state.

Note the bright yellow head and body, prominent black eye, plain blue gray wings and the white undertail coverts and large tail spots.
