Rufous-capped Warbler (Basileuterus rufifrons), Florida Canyon, Pima County

This Rufous-capped Warbler was discovered by Jan Wilson on 06 December 20011 and photographed by Laurens Halsey on 07 December 2011 and Charles Melton on 09 December 2011.

There are 19 previous records, including several nesting attempts.  Multiple birds were present at Florida Canyon from 19 December 2008 to May 2010.  A nest was found and photographed on 18 May 2009. The other recent record is of one to two individuals at Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve from 4 June to 28 October 2009 which also included reports of nest building.

Unmistakable.
