Glaucous-winged Gull (Larus glaucescens), Glendale Recharge Ponds, Maricopa County

This juvenile Glaucous-winged Gull was discovered and photographed by Tommy DeBardeleben on 09 November 2011. Also photographed by Pierre Deviche and Chris McCreedy 11 November 2011.

There have been six previous records for the state and one previous record for Maricopa County.

Note the unpatterned uniform gray plumage and the heavy all black bill.
