Black-throated Blue Warbler (Dendroica caerulescens), Sonoran Desert Museum, Pima County

This female Black-throated Blue Warbler was discovered by Kim Duffek and photographed by Dan Austin on 12 November 2010.

Rare migrant and casual winter visitor, most often reported in the fall.  Most records are of males.

Plain looking warbler with  a pale eyeline and diagnostic white patch at the base of the primaries (not always present or visible).
