Dickcissel (Spiza americana), Santa Cruz Flats, Pinal County

This Dickcissel was discovered and photographed by Doug Jenness on 29 September 2010.

Rare fall migrant.  Perhaps increasing. 

Yellow on breast and distinct black throat patch on upper breast indicate the bird is an adult male, although the breast streaking is somewhat unusual in adult males.
