Yellow-throated Vireo (Vireo flavifrons), San Pedro House, Cochise County

This Yellow-throated Vireo was discovered and photographed by David Beaudette on 29 May 2009 along the river trail. The bird was in willows, high and low, about 100 yds. south of interpretive post #7. Another bird, possibily the same bird, was photographed at this location on 15 July 2009 by Benjamin Van Doren.

A casual transient and summer visitor.  There have been four reports of this species this spring, but there are only about 25 previous documented records.

Note bright yellow throat and spectacles.
