Sharp-tailed Sandpiper (Calidris acuminata), Lake Patagonia State Park, Santa Cruz County

This Sharp-tailed Sandpiper was found and photographed by Jim Krakowski on 28 October 2019

If accepted would represent a 6th state and 1st record for southeast Arizona, four prior fall records all from Maricopa County and one spring record from Coconino County.

Reddish crown and buffy breast without streaking  distinguish immature Sharp-tail  from Pectoral Sandpiper.
