Common Grackle (Quiscalus quiscula), Arlington, Maricopa County

This Common Grackle was found and photographed by Caleb Strand on 11 November 2015

There are almost 30 records for the state. This species has been expanding in New Mexico and may be expected to occur more often in Arizona in the future.

Iridescent blue head contrasting with bronzy back and and wings, stout bill, light eyes.
