Cinnamon x Green-winged Teal (Anas cyanoptera x carolinensis), Gilbert Water Ranch, Maricopa County

This Cinnamon x Green-winged Teal hybrid was found by Jacob Plant on 07 December 2014 and photographed by Bernard Howe on 11 February 2015

This is likely a returning individual, as it appears to be identical to one photographed at the same location in the winter of 2013-2014. This hybrid combination is relatively rare.

This bird shows characteristic green and rufous head of a male Green-winged Teal and cinnamon body of a Cinnamon Teal.
